Almost a year ago I wondered what the fuss was over the SKX, and I got one. Most recently I have been wearing my SKX009J daily. I have nicer more accurate watches, but the SKX is a great beater. It looks good. It's comfortable. It's reliable. It has a certain a certain quality to it that's hard to explain but keeps me grabbing it in the morning.

It turned up today it’s brand new . The Seiko SKX009 is a reliable dive watch with 200 meters of water resistance and an impressive ISO 6425 certification (more about that later). Its in-house 7S26 movement is an impressive manufacturing feat, however, rather basic, and inacurate. I like to wear mine on a simple, matching blue Nato ever since I saw Robert Redford wear an SKX009 with one in "All Is Lost." It's a damn sharp strap-watch combo.
